About the Event

COVID 19 emergency has reminded the whole world that humanity and unity should be the priorities

of HumanKind. Good Governance and global cooperation have been discussed and argued in various

standpoints and perspectives in the past two years over the course of the pandemic actively. However,

many have forgotten to notice the differences and parity in governance and cooperation. This side

event on the topic - “The importance of good governance and global cooperation in emergencies, with

a special focus on the COVID 19 Pandemic” aims to discuss questions such as What is the right

amount of global cooperation in prevention? Who is accountable for good governance? What are the

practices which the world should learn to protect human rights for all in such emergencies?. The side

event brings a truly international panel, from different walks of life, culture and standards of life to

engage in an awakening conversation about the reality of parity. The side event aims to highlight the

importance of global cooperation and good governance in protecting the vulnerable groups and

population, especially that of women and girls, refugees and civilians against COVID 19. This shall

also draw global attention to the emergency action needed in Afghanistan.
